Abstract
The article presents the results of an analysis of the theory and practice of ideological influence in some countries of the former USSR. A comparative analysis of methods and technologies of ideological influence on the consciousness of young people under totalitarian and democratic regimes allowed us to draw conclusions about the direct dependence of the softening or tightening of these technologies on government policy and the goals of the political establishment.
