Abstract
Innovative education involves the creation and maintenance of conditions for the comprehensive development of all participants involved in the educational process, contributing to the self-development of students, ultimately leading to a qualitative change in the level of their competence. The most important component of innovative education in higher education in modern conditions is the early involvement of students in research, the formation of their skills in scientific activity. In the article, within the framework of the pilot project, the opinions of students about the attitude to scientific work, as well as the motivation of students for scientific activity were identified. The results of the study showed a high need among students to involve them in scientific research conducted in higher educational institutions, their high focus on theoretical, experimental scientific research, which would result in not only new ideas and scientific publications, but also objects of intellectual property.
