Abstract

The article examines the views of representatives of Russian geopolitical thought of the 19th century V.I. Lamansky and I.I. Dusinsky on the Polish question. Both authors were supporters of the All-Slavic union under the rule of the Russian Emperor. Although Poland was part of the Russian Empire and was part of a single state, both V.I. Lamansky and I.I. Dusinsky conclude that it will be very difficult to achieve full unification of Russia with the Polish state for various reasons that lie both in the historical, mental and cultural diversity of the Russian and Polish nations. A separate line in the works of Lamansky and Dusinsky passes the Ukrainian question, which is still relevant today.
