Abstract
The article discusses the basics of state regulation of international cooperation in the field of education on the example of Russia and European countries, substantiates the importance of such interaction on a global scale, and highlights the curren t domestic legislation on this topic. The result of the work is the proposal of possible options for state regulation of interaction between states in this area, so that the activities of domestic universities become one of the factors in the socio-economic development of Russia.
