Abstract

In the article, the author raises the question of the modernization of current Russian political science and its exit from the harsh influence of the liberal-progressive paradigm, which was actually imposed on it at the turn of the 1980s–1990s. The author analyzes the current state of political theory, and notes the archaism of a number of its schemes and postulates, the inadequacy of the present hierarchy of its priorities, excessive subjectivity and ideological bias. The author proposes conducting a large-scale revision of its conceptual foundations and content, taking into account the rich Russian political experience, and notes that nationalization will not mean the creation of some kind of «autonomous, autarkic political science», but the disclosure of its intellectual potential based on national tradition within the global trends towards multipolarity and multiculturalism.
