Abstract
The sources of private origin occupy a special place in studying the history of the Civil War in Transbaikalia. Based on the examples of memoirs’ sources, the authors of which are participants and eyewitnesses of the events of the Civil War in Transbaikalia, the article examines the features of studying documents of private origin, their properties, and defines the research prospects.
