Abstract

The world is undergoing a historic energy transition driven by decarbonization policies and the rapid development of low-carbon technologies. The article presents an analysis of the key challenges of the global energy transition, and the opportunities associated with renewable energy sources, technology, economic growth and geopolitics. The author covers different approaches to the analysis of the possibilities and the consequences associated with the energy transition, which will significantly affect the transformation of world energy and global energy security and politics.
