Abstract

The article deals with the settlement of the armed conflict in Syria and analyzes the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in stopping the bloodshed. The authors make a number of conclusions regarding Iran's positive contribution to the peace settlement process in Syria and reveal the reasons for Iran's unqualified support for official Damascus in the existing realities.
