Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the effectiveness of regional management in the frames of system approach. The authors analyze the main factors responsible for the socio-economic situation in the region. They present a hierarchy of development objectives and the corresponding hierarchy of management tasks. The main priorities of the direction of the development of the region, representing the most important tasks of strategic planning are highlighted.
