Abstract
The article contains the analysis of the major concepts organizing the image of the social in the classical Greek thought in the history of philosophy perspective. The author reveals the basic discourse mechanisms of pre-scientific understanding of society formation, proposed by Aristotle, and defines basic conditions and causes of the polis pattern of society construction.
