Abstract
In the article the ideas of a famous Russian orientalist and traveler G Tsybikov, devoted to the problem of the language building, that were expressed at the First Cultural-National Conference held on 19-26 September 1926, are analyzed. The ideas of G. Tsybikov were connected with the initial period of the creation of the Buryat language. A scientist believed that one should strive to preserve the national culture of the Mongol tribes, that association could be only possible on the basis of a common written language. G. Tsybikov also focused on the development of the modern Mongolian terminology and its terminological adequacy to the Mongolian languages.
