Abstract
The paper investigates the measures in strengthening labor discipline on Soviet enterprises in connection with adoption of the Resolution of SPK of the USSR, CP ARCP(b) and AUCCTU in December 28, 1938 «On measures to streamline labor discipline, improve the practices of public security and anti-abuse in this case». Previously judiciary showed unacceptable liberal attitude to the violators of labor discipline, allowing truancy, coming late for work and premature departure from work. On the eve of World War II the struggle for strengthening the responsibility of workers and employees for discipline in enterprises was started in the Soviet Union, which later becomes even harder.
