Abstract

For more complete description and explanation of the phenomenon of social (structural) anomie in Russian society the author of the article suggests completing existing models of anomie based on the concept of Emile Durkheim and Robert Merton with the notion of reflexive anomie, corresponding to the modern complex society. Factors that trigger structural anomie are external to the subject itself. Reflexive anomie is generated by internal factors and subjectivity of actors. Introduction of the concept of reflexive anomie allows us to understand some of its manifestations which don’t keep within traditional schemes.
Keywords:
complex society, structural anomie, reflexive anomie, post-materialist values
