Abstract

The author explores the organization of protection of the Moscow Kremlin in the end of 19th – the beginning of the 20th century as the object of state importance – the Moscow residence of the Russian Emperor, as a monument of history and culture – the place of formation of the unity of the Russian state, and also as the object of military defense – military fortress. The aspects of guarding activity of 3 ministries in the territory of the Moscow Kremlin – the Ministry of the Imperial Сourt, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Military ministry are considered. The choice of time frames is driven by the increased revolutionary movement during that period and the escalation of terror aimed at physical elimination of the supreme authority of Russia – the Russian monarch and also at the change of political system.
