Abstract
Continuing the theme of study of the phenomenon of paternalism as one of the defining characteristics of the development (and stagnation) of the contemporary post-Soviet society, the author analyzes the structure of the factors determining the level and quality of social well-being of the modern city dweller, correlating them with manifestations of the paternalism syndrome.
