Abstract
In the period from mid-2012 by the end of 2013 the Russian authorities have significantly optimized relations between government and Islam, providing substantial support to muftiats loyal to the state and increasing the pressure on aggressive Islamists. This policy had led to reducing the terrorist threat and to improving situation in the Muslim community of the Russian Federation.
