Abstract

The article is devoted to comprehension of the spiritual security and its place in the system of national security of modern Russia. The author compares the secular and confessional understanding of spirituality and makes a conclusion about their compatibility on the basis of recognition of Truth, Goodness and Beauty as an ideological foundation. In the analysis of the various manifestations of spirituality and their impact on individuals and society we can differentiate positive and negative spiritualities. The positive spirituality is a subject of protection of spiritual security. Negative spirituality is the source of threat to the spiritual health of individuals and produces destructive processes in the society, so its origins and manifestations should be monitored and prevented by the state and civil society
