Abstract

Rights and freedoms of child are the basis of development of the modern society and are determining factors in the development of public relations. Today's children are tomorrow's adults, and the future of our country depends on them. One of the most important institutions protecting the rights of children in the world today is the juvenile justice system. The author analyzes the main problems and contradictions of the phenomenon of juvenile justice and possible prospects of its introduction in the Russian Federation.
