Abstract
This article deals with axiological factors of protest movement of the Maidan-2014. The author presents the hypotheses that a possible reason of social conflict is ignoring the right for realization of requirements determined by the basic values of society. The investigation, conducted by the author in February, 2014 among direct participants of the riots as respondents, has indicated the presence of signs of archaic modern in Ukrainian society. The modern Ukrainian society has contradictions of basic values and value orientations of Ukrainian people with cultural, ideological and political, regulatory and social policy of Ukraine, when spontaneously established traditional rules of behavior does not correspond to the facilities and requirements of the epoch. Values and value orientations, which cannot be realized, cause development of frustration and anomie that allows activating the protest mood
