Foreign Experience in Solution of Problems of Retraining and Employment of Retired Military Personnel

In this article the author considers experience of foreign countries in social protection and social adaptation of retired military personnel. Analysis of materials devoted to this issue, both in Russia and abroad, gives reason to believe that the important direction in the activities of public authorities is to develop legislation on the definition of the rights, privileges and guarantees of their realization at discharge from military service, which provides the legal basis of using adaptive mechanisms of personality. The importance of considering the world experience in solution of these problems is emphasized. Account of this experience will significantly improve the Russian practice of social security for this category of citizens through learning the practice of maintaining the rights and guarantees of this category of people to retrain to civilian specialties and to get decent employment in today's market.
