Abstract
The article presents the detailed analysis of the attitude of the Mensheviks-«defensists» leader A.N. Potresov and his proponents to concluded by Bolsheviks on March, 3rd, 1918 Brest-Litovsk peace treaty with Germany. The author made the conclusion that, strongly condemned the conclusion of the Brest peace, Potresov and other Mensheviks-«defensists» have brightly shown a high degree of civic consciousness and patriotism, and called up to unite various political parties around the common idea of the armed struggle against aggression of the German imperialism. Also they demonstrated their internationalism and fidelity to ideas of the international proletarian movement because they have been convinced that the Brest-Litovsk Peace treaty have harmed the international proletarian movement.
