Abstract

The present article is devoted to the study of difficulties of intellectual development of the modern Russian society. The author notes that material values acquired in prejudice of spiritual components of personality do not benefit. The given research deals with specific character of the development of Russian society at the end of 20th – the beginning of 21st century; and the reconstructive role of modern social processes is indicated. Basic principles of the national security in the context of its intellectual (cultural) component are marked. The search of intellectual safety is an aspect of the modernization process of the Russian society, where science and education both have considerable importance. In particular, social and humanitarian constituents of science are designed to generate legal consciousness, political culture, solidarity, and all of these factors should lead to consolidation of multifaceted Russian society and to ensuring national security
