The spiritual path of personality in the novel of K. N. Leontiev, "Child soul"

The article analyses the novel «The Child of the Soul» written by the prominent diplomat, the brilliant writer, the philosopher, the publicist, outstanding political and religious thinker of the 19th century K.N. Leontiev. The problem of the central character’s individual spiritual way that reflects peculiarities of religious and moral choice of an individual is studied. Particular attention is attached to the freedom of choice issue linked to personal responsibility for genuineness of existence. The book received a large number of enthusiastic responses of contemporaries because had spiritual and instructive ideas and brought up deep theological and philosophical and psychological questions
