Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of revealing the common political values in both the Russian and European political cultures. The author stresses the fact that values of freedom, equality, social justice and democracy are shared by Russians and Europeans; however, there are some differences in their interpretation caused by pecularities of national culture.
