Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of variants of the development of large and medium business at the Baikal region on the example of history of the state oil and gas business in the Irkutsk region and their relations with social and economic problems of this region. Opposition of two different economical branches (raw material and non-raw material ones) is considered. The close connection of interests of financial-industrial groups and political forces lobbying their interests is analyzed.
