Abstract
The author argues that extremist and terrorist ideology extends basically in the main centers of the confessional life and also in the large social and economic multipurpose regions. In order to study the wide-spreading of the radical ideology the mass and expert sociological studies were carried out in Khasavyurt town and the Khasavyurt region (which are the largest municipalities of Dagestan). The author noted two factors of extremist moods formation and dissemination of terrorism ideology. It is displeasure with state bodies and religious and ethno-confessional (inter-ethnic) tension.
