Abstract
The article considers that the resocialization of drug addicts and other socially excluded groups nowadays is the very actual problem. An important role in the system of social adaptation is played by public and religious organizations. Orthodox centers have years of experience with drug addicts. Basing on sociological research in the Republic of Tatarstan the author reveals public demand for these organizations and describes the experience of social work of the Russian Orthodox Church.
