Abstract
The article examines the most acute problems of Jewish identity in the United States, which is going through a period of a fairly crisis state associated with the deideologization of traditional Judaism and its modernization in modern conditions. The materials of the included observation of the author of the article, conducted at the beginning of the first decade of the 21st century, as well as the results of research by American sociologists of a later period, make it possible to emphasize the problem of mixed marriages of post-Soviet immigrants of Jewish origin, which also lead to the erosion of their original identity.
