Abstract
The article traces the dynamics of constitutional transformations and reforms in Kyrgyzstan, which had an impact on the formation of the institutional component of the political system. The analysis concludes that power in the country has changed repeatedly, often through violations of constitutional provisions. Until 2010, the presidential model was consolidated, which after constitutional reforms initiated by the opposition was transformed into a parliamentary model, and then, after the adoption of the new constitution in 2021, it became a presidential republic again. It indicates the instability of the political system of Kyrgyzstan.
