Abstract
Singapore, as a multi-ethnic state, is a unique example of successful ethnic and national policy. Since gaining independence in 1965, Singapore has strived to create a harmonious society. One of the key features of Singapore’s ethnic policy is the principle of multiculturalism. This approach not only promotes social harmony, but also forms Singapore’s unique identity as a multi- ethnic state. One of the key features of multiculturalism in Singapore is its official support at the level of state policy. The government has introduced a number of laws and initiatives aimed at ensuring equal rights for all ethnic groups.
