Abstract

Objective of the study is to examine the ideas about justice and social justice among those who migrated from the countries of the post-Soviet space to South Asia and the influence on the content of these mentality ideas. The methodological basis for studying the ideas of justice and social justice among those who migrated from the post-Soviet countries to South Asia and the influence on their content of these mentality ideas is based on the works of foreign and domestic scientists who studied the problems of the principle of justice as a value regulating relationships between members of society (A. S. Anisimov, M. A. Ageeva, A. V. Radonova); social justice in the context of Plato’s formula “to each his own” (N. Fraser and A. Young); markers of social justice as the rational and ethical foundations of social relations (M. Walzer, J. St. Mill), the deontological concept of social justice by J. Rawls. The study was conducted within the framework of the distribution paradigm in the context of which class-stratification and axiological approaches were used. Actually, the analysis of the “social justice” model, through which representatives of various groups evaluate social reality, took place in a comparative neo-institutional perspective. Research results. It is concluded that ideas about justice and social justice are largely determined by the specifics of the mentality. At the same time, no strict correlation was found between the categories “citizenship” and “type of mentality”: among citizens of the Russian Federation – globalist; for citizens of the Russian Federation from the territory of the former DPR – Russian; Citizens of Ukraine (eastern part) have an equal number of carriers of both Russian and globalist types of mentality; The citizens of Ukraine (western part) have a dominant Western type of mentality. It is noted that citizens from the western part of Ukraine do not have the Russian mentality. It has been determined that ideas about justice are more dependent on the characteristics of the individual and his life experience, while ideas about social justice are more determined by the collective unconscious. It is indicated that the closest markers from the “spiritual values” group are Western, Russian, globalist mentalities – freedom, human good, love, friendship. According to markers from the “social” group, ideas about justice intersect among the carriers of all types of mentality under consideration only in one position – “peace”, and from the “biological” group – security. The conclusion is drawn: the most similar in content of ideas about justice in the Russian-speaking environment are the bearers of Western and Russian mentalities, revealing the largest number of coincidences in the group of markers “spiritual”. The content of ideas about social justice is distinguished by its heterogeneity, in which the greatest similarity is demonstrated by bearers of Eastern and Indian mentalities in terms of the following parameters: measure; existence of laws protecting property; implementation of laws by authorities; the second – Russian and globalist types of mentalities according to the following parameters: freedom; the presence of laws that provide opportunities. Prospects of the study the research are related to the subsequent study of the characteristics of justice and social justice and the application of the results obtained to create projects to consolidate Russian society and create favorable socio-economic conditions for preserving the intellectual and cultural potential of the country.
