Abstract

Objective of the study is to show that the Russian culture, which is the bearer of traditional spiritual and moral values and the genotype of Russian civilization, has now become the main obstacle to American hegemonism. At the same time, it is important to identify the complex processes of the current socio-cultural dynamics of Russian culture and the factors that can make it the epicenter of countering information and cultural aggression against Russia. The methodological basis of the research includes theoretical positions and ideas of Russian philosophers, conclusions of modern sociologists, which reveal the essence of Russian culture, an assessment of its current development and its significance for the survival of the country in the conditions of the "cultural intervention" of the West against Russia. Research results are reduced to the recognition of the historical conditionality of the specifics of Russian culture, which has become the focus of contradictory internal and external influences and has managed, thanks to the synthesis of various cultural principles, to acquire the character of "blooming complexity" (K. Leontiev), which has ensured the survival of the multinational people of Russia for many centuries and guarantees a successful response to any challenges of the XXI century. Prospects of the study are connected with the urgent need to activate the processes of self-consciousness of Russian society, the integrity of which is ensured by the cultural basis of its historical and current social existence, with the need for a deep analysis of the origins and contradictions of Russian culture, conducting large-scale sociological studies of the current state and trends of socio-cultural development of the country, with the transformation of the state's activities in the information and cultural sphere, which in all to a greater extent determines the future of the country.
