Abstract
Purpose of the study. In connection with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR, the analysis of such a phenomenon as the Soviet man, who, from the standpoint of liberal figures, was called sovok, is of particular importance. An analysis of these points of view is the main purpose of these polemical notes.
The methodological basis of the study is sociological theories about personality, which are based on the constructivist paradigm in the analysis of social relations and phenomena.
The result of the analysis is to reveal the essence of discreditable interpretations about the Soviet man as a sovok, which ultimately come down to the rejection of everything Soviet: history, economics, science, culture, and even the everyday life of people, whose homeland was the Soviet Union. The characteristics of the reasons for such an interpretation are given, the classification of arguments is determined, the main techniques and methods of deliberate and prejudiced explanation of the labor, social, political and cultural life of a Soviet person are identified.
Research prospects. The study of the role and significance of the history of the USSR is inextricably linked with the analysis of such a unique social phenomenon as the Soviet man and with the indispensable exposure of attempts to discredit him, which is important not only for Russia, but also acquires world significance in the ongoing struggle of worldviews, in the struggle for minds and values. orientation of the people.
