Abstract
Objective of the study is to analyze the specifics of sports and recreation activities, to determine its place in the structure of recreational activity of modern Russian youth and to consider the factors that influence the formation of the needs of young people in the implementation of sports and recreation activities.
The methodological basis of the research was based on the provisions of structural-functional, activity-based and institutional approaches, which allowed the author to make a comprehensive analysis of the preferences of modern Russian youth in the sphere of sports and recreation activities and to determine its place in the structure of recreational activity of representatives of this socio-demographic group.
Research result. The article analyzes sports and recreation activities in the structure of recreational activity of modern Russian youth. The author notes that sports and recreational activities are currently an important direction of recreational activity of modern Russian youth, being at the same time the most important parameter of a healthy lifestyle of representatives of the socio-demographic group under consideration, having a direct impact on the health of the younger generation, its performance indicators, adaptation to the conditions of a constantly changing external environment. The level of youth involvement in sports and recreation activities is influenced by two groups of factors: internal and external. In contrast to external factors that do not depend on young people, internal factors include the personal characteristics of young people, their values and orientations aimed at sports, and the peculiarities of socialization in this area.
Prospects of the study. The problems associated with the specifics of sports and recreation activities, its place in the structure of recreational activity of modern Russian youth, factors that affect the formation of the needs of young people in the implementation of sports and recreation activities are of considerable interest to researchers. Therefore, in the future, the author of the article plans a more thorough scientific study of the nature and content of sports and recreation activities, its main directions and recreational potential.
