Abstract
Objective of the study is determination of satisfaction degree of the medical community of the Rostov region with measures of state support in a complex epidemiological situation.
The methodological basis of the research compiled the results of 40 in-depth interviews with physicians working and not working with patients with COVID-19 (doctors and nurses).
Research results. According to the data of the regional sociological survey “Social well-being of the professional medical community in a difficult epidemiological situation,” the vast majority of doctors in the Rostov region are satisfied with their living conditions. The main reasons for dissatisfaction with their housing: absence of their own housing, lack of living space, dilapidated housing, the need to make repairs, mortgage conditions for purchasing housing. More than half of the informants rely only on themselves in solving housing problems. Another third of the informants are counting on help and support from their parents. One in ten counts on the purchase of housing on a mortgage. The cautious attitude of informants to mortgages is determined by the low level of medical salaries, uncertainty about the future, and age characteristics. Almost two-thirds of the informants do not count on government assistance in solving housing issues. An extremely low percentage of medical awareness about the conditions of the programs was recorded. The main reasons for the reluctance (impossibility) of medical workers to participate in state support programs: focus on independent solution of housing problems with family support, low awareness of the conditions of state programs, reluctance to move to the countryside for the purpose of employment, inappropriate program conditions, lack of trust, lack of confidence in the effectiveness of programs, bureaucratic barriers.
Prospects of the study. The obtained theoretical and practical conclusions can be used in a further study of the satisfaction of the medical community with measures of state support at the regional and national level in order to identify the specifics of the problem in a complex epidemiological situation.
