Abstract

This article actualizes the most vivid and contradictory consequences of the transition of modern Russian society to the information age. In the education system, these contradictions are most pronounced. Researchers' opinions on this subject are represented by various positions ranging from recognizing the clear advantages of the influence of information processes on the educational space to actualizing the negative aspects of this influence. At the same time, there was a joint understanding that the processes of informatization and digitalization are natural and inevitable in the field of education. Accordingly, it is necessary to adapt to them, developing optimal strategies for the transition of the Russian education system to a new functioning format, taking into account new information technologies that are quite actively used in the educational environment. A special role of social and philosophical science in comprehending the trends of informatization and digitalization of education is the threat of destroying the value-semantic basis of the culture of education in Russia. Signs of destructive processes are already clearly fixed in the educational space of Russian society, which puts the potential of socio-philosophical reflection of the risks and threats of the modern information society in a priority position.
