Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical and methodological approaches that allow us to explore the specifics and potential of ethnic identity in ensuring the social security of local communities. The article discusses the functions of ethnic identity that can ensure stable development of a local society and its resistance to external destructive influences.
