Abstract
The article touches upon the issue of the need to support the development of the coal mining enterprises of the Eastern Donbass, which belongs territorially to the Rostov region in order to improve the opportunities for the strategic development of the coal mining companies of the domestic industry at the regional and sectoral levels; possible scenarios for the development of the region's fuel and energy complex from the standpoint of the cluster approach are proposed.
