Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of actualization of ethnic identity in the modern world. The author emphasizes that in the context of ambiguous global transformations, the process of ethnic revival is a way to resist social innovation. In a period of social uncertainty, ethnic identity has a resource potential that allows preserving and reproducing the cultural code of a local community.
