Abstract

This article is devoted to the actual problem of the formation and development of the discourse concerning understanding in intergenerational interaction in Russian society. Based on the principles of neoinstitutional and subject-activity approaches the author considers the discourse of understanding as a common language of social meanings and ideals aimed at social solidarity of generations in the process of social communications and readiness for the joint social actions implementation within the framework of all-Russian patriotism. Three main conclusions are drawn: first, the adoption of a position of mutual respect in the evaluation of experience as containing algorithms of social activity and feelings of "not for nothing lived life" of generations. Secondly, the desire for mutual trust in the framework of liberation from social dumbness. Thirdly, the recognition of social relevance as the main condition for supporting the existing institutional order.
