Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of transition to more environmentally friendly fuels and the withdrawal from the traditional hydrocarbon energy sources, as well as the development and implementation of the proposed international standard in the energy sector, which was developed by the youth group during the working session within the All-Russian Youth Forum "Iturup" on the same island of the Kuril chain in 2016. The relevance of the topic is caused by the significant use of coal and hydrocarbons in modern energy and by an increasing trend towards "green energy". In the article, much attention is paid to the transition to the use of hydrogen as an alternative and environmentally friendly source of energy, and it is also proposed to amend the Paris Climate Agreement and approve the relevant international standard in the energy sector in accordance with the established procedure.
