Abstract

The article is aimed at the analysis of local self-government in the system of regulation of interethnic relations in the context of the implementation of foreign experience. The article contains a conceptual and socially applied rationale for diversifying national policies in Russia, including municipal self-government in the sphere of participation and competence in implementing national policies. Particular attention is paid to the possibilities of implementing foreign experience in the context of constructing a value policy, using the potential of informal practices, focusing on the harmonization of inter-ethnic relations at the interpersonal level. The article concludes that a model of participation in national politics under the auspices of local self-government of national-cultural associations, educational and cultural structures, groups of active citizens is being drawn up.
