Russian-Ukrainian Relations in the Evaluations of the Youth of the Border Region (on the Example of the Rostov Region)

The article is devoted to the assessment and perception of Russian-Ukrainian relations by the youth of the Rostov Region. The structural and subject parameters of the perception and image patterns of Ukraine in social moods in the youth environment are considered. The conclusion is that Russian-Ukrainian relations are evaluated within the framework of the accepted social and political discourse, but at the same time, pragmatist accents associated with the impact of the negative scenario of Russian-Ukrainian relations on the life prospects of young people are singled out. It is noted that, taking a civil-patriotic position in the assessment of Russian-Ukrainian relations, most young people are oriented toward symbolic participation and see the prospects for normalizing Russian-Ukrainian relations in effectively resolving internal challenges in Russian society.
