Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis social dysfunction of modern education, caused by the transition to the society of late modernity. It is noted that education no longer corresponds to the new structural characteristics of the society and is not able to fulfill its social functions effectively, such as training of specialized personnel, equality of opportunity and social mobility, cultural unification and the formation of cultural, national and civil identities, the formation of a certain model of a person with a certain world outlook and behavioral skills.
