Abstract

The paper analyzes the key trends of shaping and changing of a person’s value world in the socio-cultural space ofRussiaunder the influence of occurring processes of modernization and globalization. The Western European orientation of historical development ofRussiasince the early 90-ies of XX century, as well as its entry into the space of a single world radically changed the forms and methods of social life, interpersonal relations, notions about moral values. Traditional cultural values of Russians under the influence of these processes have lost their moral and humanistic content. The authors conclude that the result of the solution of this problem can be the development of a concept and a comprehensive program aimed at the formation of the state policy in the field of language, ethics, education and training, control over the communication media, etc. The basis of the project is a well-defined and reasonable national idea, based on the core values of Russian culture.
