Abstract
In article are presented the main results of case study which was carried out in the Russian Orthodox parishes of Germany and the USA. The description of the main functions of orthodox parishes abroad, their specifics of realization in conditions ino/polyconfessional society is given. The author of article describes features of environment in which orthodox parishes work, and gives the analysis of had impact of environment on pari- shional life, features of behavior of parishioners, allocates the main problems of parishes abroad. Draws a conclusion about specifics of changes in a situation of adaptation of orthodox parishes to environment and about features of preservation of orthodox tradition in the conditions of an ino/polikonfessionalnost.
