Abstract
Objective of the study: to propose test definition for the term “socio-group communities”, relying on the analysis of scientific theories in the fields of communication, media studies, future society, development of groups and the Internet as the basis of digital environment.
The methodological basis of the study. The author uses interdisciplinary approach in the systematic analysis of scientific literature while developing methodological basis of the research in order to increase the quality of empirical research dedicated to socio-group communities.
The results of the study. The development of the definition for the term “socio-group communities” in the framework of the interdisciplinary approach for the analysis of scientific literature allows sociologists to conduct a more complex analysis of the creation of social connections in the digital environment.
Prospects of the study are dedicated towards the further development of the term of “socio-group communities” and their creation in digital environment by using the results of empirical research.
