Abstract
Objective of the study is to study the degree of preservation of the values of kindness and mutual assistance in the ideas of modern students.
The methodological basis of the research is a synthesis of philosophical, historical, and axiological approaches to the study of preserving goodness and mutual assistance in the perceptions of students of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education «Belgorod State Agricultural University named after V. Y. Gorin».
Research results showed that modern students are influenced by Western culture with its pronounced desire for material values. However, spiritual values have not been discarded in the student environment and remain in the top three of their life priorities.
Prospects of the study. The study showed that it is necessary to cultivate a traditional understanding of kindness and mutual assistance in the youth environment at all stages of student life, since the University not only forms a future specialist, but should develop in student youth the need to do good to others not for their own benefit, but for the well-being of others.
