Abstract
Objective of the study: to analyze the opinion of Taganrog residents about the PRC, to trace based on these data the dynamics of value ideas about this country for this social group.
The methodological basis of the research is the empirical data of a pilot sociological study conducted by the staff of the SRB – FCTAS RAS in 2023. A questionnaire was chosen as the main research method, and a survey was conducted among residents of the city of Taganrog.
Results of the study. The current value concepts of the People's Republic of China for the residents of Taganrog are revealed, and a comparison is made with the results of a previous study on the same issue. After analyzing the obtained sociological data, it was concluded that a significant impact on the formation and change of value perceptions of the country is exerted by a complex of factors, including cultural, economic, infrastructural, political. It is established that the historical context, within which relations between states and their citizens are built, also plays an important role.
Research рerspectives. The research can be applied within the framework of research projects aimed at studying the sociology of international relations, as well as become the basis for the development and planning of various cultural and tourist events aimed at developing harmonious bilateral cooperation between Russia and China at the regional level.
