Abstract

Changes in orientations of the population of RSFSR, and later Russian Federation, to different world countries, considered as the desire to visit this or that country, have been analyzed over the period of 50 years. Stability of connections in these orientations in time is shown with simultaneous dinamics of people’s interests, depending on the changing circumstances of international life. Structural and functional invariability of areas of mass consciousness was detected: both conservative and innovative in the psychological aspect and motivational regarding the needs for trips abroad, “figures” of their interconnection are shown, and the dynamics of qualitative aspects of the same phenomena are analyzed. Fundamental and operative ranges of public opinion with regard to international problems are revealed. The first of them may well serve as a basis for correction of political decisions and information policy.
